CaliKo ("we," "our," or "us") operates BETA, a company intelligence service available at https://getbeta.io and through Slack (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service.

When you install BETA, we collect:

  • Slack user ID
  • Email address (if provided)
  • Workspace/team ID
  • OAuth access tokens (encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM)

We automatically collect:

  • Query text and timestamps
  • Response times and error logs
  • Subscription tier and usage limits

2.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your full credit card information.

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain BETA service
  • Process your company research queries
  • Enforce usage limits and subscription tiers
  • Send service notifications and updates
  • Improve service quality and performance
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Data We Do NOT Use for AI Training

We never use your data to train AI models or language models. Your queries, company research results, and usage patterns remain private and are not shared with AI providers for training purposes.

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Anthropic (Claude AI), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active and for 90 days after account deletion for operational purposes. Query history is retained for analytics and service improvement.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
